James Eberhard, Founder and Chairman
James has established himself as a visionary within the global mobile community.
As Founder and Chairman of Mobile Accord, Inc., James directs and oversees the vision
for Mobile Accord’s business operations. Mobile Accord provides widespread access
to the mobile marketplace with innovative turnkey mobile business solutions. As
a solution, Mobile Accord allows nonprofit organizations to communicate with supporters
and accept charitable contributions via SMS technology. James is using his expertise
to help guide and develop mobile charitable giving in the U.S. to instill consumer
confidence and achieve regulatory compliance while maintaining the integrity of
the mobile and nonprofit spaces. Prior to founding Mobile Accord, James founded
and created 9 Squared, Inc., a mobile content and services company that launched
one of the first multi-platform mobile content delivery systems in the United States.
Under James’ leadership, and with less than $50,000.00 in start-up capital, 9 Squared
quickly evolved into a leading mobile content and services business. In 2004, 9
Squared was acquired by Monstermob Group plc.
Nim Patel, President
Nim Patel serves as the President of Mobile Accord, Inc., providing strategic direction
for the company. Prior to Mobile Accord, Nim was a Principal at iSherpa Capital
where he was involved with numerous private company investments in and around mobile
technologies. He has served on the Board of Directors of Cequint (acquired by NYSE:
TNS), Perlego Systems, VarVee and other iSherpa portfolio companies. Prior to iSherpa,
Nim was Vice President of Finance for WebTone Technologies, a leading provider of
software to the banking industry that was acquired by Fidelity National Financial
(NYSE: FNF). He built the foundation for his career with five years of assurance
and management consulting experience at Arthur Andersen and PriceWaterhouseCoopers
where he focused on emerging business and telecom clients. Nim holds a BBA from
the University of Georgia and an MBA from Emory University.
Patty Martin, VP Finance
Patricia Martin serves as the VP of Finance of Mobile Accord, Inc. Martin oversees
all Finance, Accounting and Human Resources functions. Prior to joining Mobile Accord,
Martin served as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Local Matters
Inc., a software development company in Denver. She focused on creating a financial
analysis function, pricing structure and policy, customer pricing proposals, margin
and profitability analysis, Board and Shareholder reporting and new market and product
profitability analysis. Martin brings to Mobile Accord more than 15 years of experience
in Finance, including cash management/treasury operations, trust fund management
and reporting, investor relations, financial due diligence and accounting. She has
previously held positions with GE Healthcare, CUNA Mutual Group, and Alliant Energy
Corporation. Martin holds an MBA from Edgewood College in Madison, WI as well as
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens
Point.
Timur Nusratty, VP International Business Development
Timur Nusratty serves as VP of International Business Development at Mobile Accord,
where his main areas of focus are Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South
Asia. Before joining Mobile Accord, Nusratty was Director of Public Policy & Senior
Legal Counsel for Roshan (Telecom Development Company Afghanistan Ltd), Afghanistan’s
largest mobile telecommunications company. While at Roshan he covered a wide range
of commercial and public-related legal and business issues, from project finance
transactions to regulatory liaising and negotiations. He also focused on the development
and management of relationships with the US Government, the provision of legal support
for government and military segment bids and contracts, as well as supporting M-Paisa,
Roshan’s mobile money transfer solution. Before joining Roshan, Nusratty worked
as a legal advisor/consultant for the Ministry of Communications and Information
Technology of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. There, he advised the minister
and the telecommunications regulator on the drafting of the telecommunications law
and other related regulations. Nusratty holds a law degree from Columbia University
School of Law in New York City, and is a member of the California and Washington
DC Bar Associations. He also holds a BA in Environmental Science and a BA in Italian
Studies from the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated Summa
Cum Laude. Nusratty is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Alison Billings, VP Partnerships
Alison Billings serves as the Vice President of Product Development at Mobile Accord,
where she is responsible for the development and management of all domestic and
international products. Billings joins Mobile Accord from T-Mobile USA where she
managed the Direct-to-Consumer business for 3 years. Prior to her time at T-Mobile,
Billings was the Director of Products and Services at Mobile Content startup Blue
Frog Media. During that time she managed cross-functional product teams located
in the Philippines, Mexico and the United States. Billings brings to Mobile Accord
over 12 years of experience from the telecom and wireless industry, more than half
of which was spent developing technology solutions for non-profit organization in
the Bay Area. Alison has a Masters in Information Management and Systems from the
University of California, Berkeley.
